Notre-Dame Basilica, in addition to being a place of worship located in Old Montreal, is also a space where neo-Gothic vaults welcome prayers as well as light shows. Thanks to the Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal Foundation, this heritage monument opens its doors to a rich and accessible cultural program. 

Sound and light 

The immersive AURA experience, designed by the world-renowned Moment Factory, combines light projections, orchestral music, and sacred architecture. Taking advantage of the building's famous acoustics and magnificent setting, this show has become a must-see experience for visitors. And there's more on the menu. 

The basilica also hosts Notre-Dame’s Music O’Clock, a series of concerts showcasing classical works, jazz, and contemporary compositions. These events, often organized to support the restoration of the site, allow visitors to experience music in a setting imbued with contemplation.

To this we add Musical Afternoons, which are concerts featuring a variety of musical styles echoing beneath the vaults, from symphonic to jazz. These moments offer an artistic and spiritual respite in the heart of the city.
